Average cost of service is:
Cost is paid by insurance and waiver. No cost to family for screening,
testing, psychiatric consultation/medication.
Funded by: Insurance, waiver.
Average length of service is:
Waiver provides intensive funding for 3 years. "Ongoing"
funding available after words until age 22.
Intake procedure is: Call Kathy
Schutt at 608-288-9040. Screening will be scheduled within 2 weeks.
Psychological testing (no charges to family), then wait for waiver.
Parents must also be approved by County. Kathy assists family through
intake process.
Target population is: Children
with autism spectrum disorders.
Other eligibility requirements include:
Waiver specifies children must be under 8 to qualify for intensive
funding.
Other: Longitudinal research on treatment effectiveness
and predictors of outcome.
